Just because you live in a small town doesn’t mean you can’t dress up somewhat. A dressy top and jeans with heels is not overdressed even for a bar or chain restaurant. No one should ever wear a white undershirt under a nice top. Ever.

Sorry, not keen on any of them. Here are some pics for inspiration, they’re casual but well put together especially when you add the accessories like jewelry and a nice scarf

Okay. I zoomed in and saw that the last top is a size small, which means that you can’t be too curvy. If you still want to look kind of age-appropriate a long cardigan would be fabulous.

I would prefer to find a heavier long sleeve shirt, but I can’t find anything I like. I just know I’m going to be freezing and distracted by it! If you can’t tell, it’s rare that I ever go on a first date in cold weather 😂
I’ll put on the grey and black shirts with the pants and shoes and take pics later to post for a final vote.
I’ll see if I can find a leather-type jacket or something.
I know that just because it’s a small town date I don’t have to look dowdy, but seriously, guys there wear jeans and a polo shirt for a restaurant date, lol

I would say black top for sure! (last picture)

Black top definitely. Take some pics wearing it though so we can better get an idea of the final look! =)

Its hard to take full length pics, lol

I think I’m leaning toward the black one. I just need a jacket or something.

My vote is for grey or black. I’m a casual girl (I type this while in sweats and t-shirt) but I feel your first two options are too casual for a first date.

Dragonfly715 : I love the black top personally and it looks awesome on you! You def need a cute pea coat! Target has some really cute ones, not sure how far one of those stores is from you. I bought an off white one a couple years ago and it’s still in good shape! Definitely check out target! Enjoy your date Bee!

Black! But maybe add a statement piece? Like maybe a bangle or an earring, a necklace might be too much due to the V neckline + “cross-over japanese style kimono belt thing-y” … ugh, can’t remember what it’s called.

I have a gray pea coat, but it’s a bulky winter one. Probably won’t be quite cold enough for it.

Dragonfly715 : Do you have a blanket scarf? If you are not thrilled with the jackets you own, wear the scarf over the jacket. You can remove the jacket and still wrap the scarf during the date.

After seeing the new pics, I actually like the gray on you – really flattering – but I think it needs some accessories. Do you have a fun long necklace or big earrings you could wear with it?

Dragonfly715 : you look great! You have curves in all of the right places. You seriously have nothing to worry about!
I vote for the gray top and cuff up your pants one or two little times. I also agree that if you have a nice necklace that’s more casual than business, you will have a perfect first date outfit! Good luck bee!
