The black!  You coul find a nice thinner coat.  Hm has cute not too heavy coats that aren’t too expensive.   You could even wear a blazer as a coat.  First dates are so exciting!  Good luck 🙂

Your figure is banging!! It adds a lot to those outfits. I still prefer the black top.

Dragonfly715 :  number 1…you look fantastic. Someone before me said curves in the right places. You look like a beautiful woman. With your pics, I change to the black top and statement jewelry with the light jacket. Girl, you are going to knock him dead!  Can’t wait to see the final outfit. Gia xo

You have a great figure! Love the black and agree with PP who said to have a look at target or Kmart for a cute coat. Good luck!

I like the gray one best. The lace is nice. If you’re looking for cute clothing outside of what your town has, I couldn’t live without ThredUp, the online resale store. My wardrobe can never be enough and it’s a cheap way to grab designer basics and big brand staples.

On behalf of an enjoyable meal, I hope he doesn’t take you to Max & Erma’s! (I’m only kind of kidding… I used to work there, and actually met Darling Husband when we were both servers before grad school. Know too much about that place!)

The white under layer is an absolute no-go. I LOVE the black sleeveless shirt…I would pair it with a colored cardigan, which are perfect for layering.  A gray fly-away cardigan would look super cute too!  If you don’t have a colored cardigan wear a cute colored necklace or earrings as a statement piece.

Dragonfly715 :  Lesson learned. Don’t wait until the last minute to plan date night outfits. Look at Pinterest and blogs for inspiration, then replicate them with items in your wardrobe.

Dragonfly715 :  Well the good news is that now you’ll have a go to outfit for dates. I always have one ready just in case I come home from work and my SO made plans on short notice for us. One for warm weather and one for cooler temps as I live in Canada

Expensive unfrayed jeans, stylish ankle boots, delicate necklace, classy shirt, statement dangly earrings, thin cashmere jumper or cardigan, age-appropriate leather jacket, thin silk scarf tied very loosely, chastity belt.

I’m semi-joking about the last one but don’t jump into bed with him on the first date.

If there is a second date you want high romance – theatre, opera, museums, moonlit walks – or imagination – picnics, ghost walks, water skiing, a cable car ride to the nearest mountain top.  Don’t settle for MacDonalds or conversations where he talks mostly about himself and then interrupts you when you try to say something about your life.

And don’t let him start re-scheduling dates.  He needs to fit in with you rather than you being too accommodating.

Good luck. Take things slowly and enjoy your date.

Definitely one of the last two, but the last black one is best and totally perfect. I think the long sleeves under the short sleeve look is awkward- best to just stick with a real long sleeved top!
