It’s beautiful! Get a mermaid style petticoat (careful not to get ballroom haha). A belt will change the look up a lot. Hair and jewelry can, too- but I guess stay away from pearls if you don’t like Victorian style

I think your dress is beautiful! I’m not sure about a petticoat, but I don’t think it needs much volume, if any at all. I think getting the normal alterations would make a huge difference! It is such beautiful, classic lace. I think a belt, some jewelry, and a veil will tie it all together!

It’s so pretty! You could do so much to embellish it if you wanted to – from a lace bolero, adding sleeves, a glittery belt, even having the sides taken in above your knees to make it more of a mermaid style. Amazon has some pretty inexpensive slips, you could order one and then always return it if you’d like! It’s really a lovely dress and you look great! I love the scalloped lace!

You look beautiful! With a petticoat and belt and alterations I think it’ll look more “spruced up” for you. I’d tailor it closer to your hips & booty. I also agree with PP-stay away from pearls for jewelry. It’ll give you the vintage look you’re trying to get away from.

oh wow that’s beautiful! It fits perfectly and looks stunning on you! I had the same thoughts about mine, but honestly there is no perfect dress. I remember when I was in the bridal store some lady I didn’t even know said to me, “once you’re walking down the aisle it won’t even matter. You’re the most beautiful bride in the world to everyone in the room at that moment. Everyone will think you look beautiful in your dress”. Don’t think too much into it. Unless you absolutely can’t stand it!

I think it looks beautiful, and very white. I think you might be sabotaging yourself.. try to remember why you picked it in the first place. I do agree on a thin sparkly belt, or just a white ribbon, and drop earrings.

I’m sorry – I’ll be of no help to you because I think it looks really beautiful as-is!!

It is positively stunning. I understand if you don’t like it you’re not going to be happy in it, but you look truly stunning.  I wouldn’t do a petticoat, maybe a bolero, maybe diamond necklace other than a solitaire setting, possibly a beautiful veil like Kate Middleton wore though that might look even more Victorian. Personally I think a belt would disfigure the beautiful lines of the gown and your great figure but I’m just a random chick on the internet so ignore me if you don’t agree.  But you do look stunning!

I looked again, a small petticoat flare would look nice!

Omigosh that train though! It’s beautiful and very white! A nice statement belt would really jazz it up. Maybe something a tad colorful? I think seeing another color against it would really accentuate the qhite.
