Thank you! All I’ve seen to do this week is deal with incorrectly categorised posts! 🙂

When somethng like this happens repeatedly, it’s a systems problem, not a people problem. Have you considered switching the order and offering Classifieds first before the regular Boards? Many of the Classifieds seem to be posted by new users so it’s no surprise that if they are trying to sell a dress for example, and the Dress Forum comes up, they choose it. They don’t even know to scroll down to get to the Classifieds. Alternatively add a line of instruction about scrolling down for Classifieds.

ibtyen :  Have you considered marking posts by new users that include words like “sell” for review before posting?

Whatever you’re doing is not working. I would make the first line on the drop-down

“Selling Forum: dresses & wedding items”

That’s a good idea. It’s clear all these people posting stuff for sale either don’t look or don’t care what the Dress thread consists of.

Has anyone else noticed an increase in classifieds posted on the main board since this post was pinned or is it just me?

And good to know that trolling them is okay!!!!

beethree : I requested this post was pinned after the initial influx of incorrect posts, it seems people don’t pay attention to this either!
