I agree that isn’t not nice to give unsolicited oppinions about someone’s ring. Unfortunately, it happens sometimes. I think all you can do is smile and say “Well, I love it and amd so excited.” Then change the subject.

@Inlove2001:  I wouldn’t worry one bit. As long as you love it & it’s exactly what you wanted then that’s all that really matters!

I never respond to people’s rude remarks and unsolicited (negative) opinions about ANYTHING. I always feel its best to just ignore them. If they wont stop (ie its someone you are constantly around who always feels the need to comment) then I would let them know that YOU love it and YOU wear it and not them. End of story.

@Inlove2001:  When I saw it, I’m like, wow, your Darling Husband really loves you! It’s gorgeous!

I think people say things that could come off as rude when they don’t know what to say, being dumb-founded at the beauty of your ring!!

Your ring is so incredibly beautiful. I’m struggling to understand what anyone could dislike about it. Maybe they think rings should be small and not attract attention? Who knows… But your ring is incredible.

It’s beautiful! I think a lot of people think it’s ok to say “It’s big!” because there’s some commonly held belief that with diamonds bigger = better. Personally I think it’s rude to give your opinion either way. What can you do though?
