Warning! My wedding is in 5 weeks and I will be posting some maybe obvious questions. With that being said:
Who all walks down the aisle? My ceremony is outside and the aisle runner will already be rolled out before the guests arrive. Do the grandparents and the parents and the bridesmaids/groomsmen all walk on the aisle runner? I don’t want it to be green and black before I even get to walk on it. Suggestions please!

Can you have the roll the aisle runner our right before you come down the aisle? It’s hard to not have people walk on it if it’s already down.

@roxy821 – I thought about that but I planned to have flower petals on it because the flower girl is young and probably will just run down the aisle wide eyed instead of throwing petals.

Kind of curious what you decided to do about this. It seems like it would people wouldn’t be able to avoid an aisle runner that is already down.

are you having ushers? You could have them tell the guests or use a sign to place in the aisle way that says to please use the sides to seat or something along that lines?

Can you block off the side of the seats facing the runner with some ribbon or tulle? (Think like those velvet ropes at the movies.) I’ve seen that in some weddings to stop people going down the aisle.

For my daughters outdoor wedding next week, the ushers are seating guests from the outside…then the mothers, grandmothers, wedding party will walk down the aisle runner.
