So I love donuts. It’s kind of a running joke/story of my life.. I was wondering if anyone knows of bakeries/stores in the area that would cater donuts?
I’ve googled my heart out but I guess “wedding donut washington DC” are not the clearest search terms.

Just look at bakeries in general and ask if it’s something they can do. Shoot, most grocery stores and Costcos have bakeries large enough to do something like this. Good luck! Cool and unique idea!

You can try Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. My mom was a wedding coordinator & she did a doughnut wedding cake with them.

I was thinking krispy kreme too! Because hello! amazing delicious warm donuts! But I read somewhere they don’t do ‘cakes’ and that you have to get a cake designer or something to put the cake together. Which kind of ruins it for me: stupid extra cost, finding another vendor.
And making those delicious donuts into a cake is not something I can trust myself DIY-ing the day of any wedding. My BMs would find me huddled in a corner covered in glaze and in a complete sugar coma.

@AzinAugust I don’t know what is funnier, the stacks of donuts accented by ribbon and flowers or the wildly risque cake topper.
I don’t know if it’s possible to get a cake-sized donut. There’s a local bakery in San Francisco called Bob’s that makes giant donuts but they are only 9-inches in diameter

I’m not sure if they do cakes, but there is a donut shop called Fractured Prune. I live out in Fairfax, and there used to be one out here, but I’m not sure where their other locations might be. They do custom dipped donuts made to order, and they’re really good.
