Double claw prongs are a great option if you prefer the look of 4 prongs but want added security.  I don’t have an oval either, but here’s my OMC.

I also have soddered double prongs. Love the dainty look of them with the extra security.

I vote yes. My ring isnt oval but two weeks ago, a prong broke off and the stone fell out. I sent it in and got doubles bc it was awful. And if they do it right, you cant even see them. Actually, I couldnt even get a good picture of mine, theyre so delicate.

I didn’t know I wanted double prongs until he gave it to me. I love it! I’m not a huge fan of 6 prongs, and double prongs make my diamond feel so secure!
