    I like the idea.  I say go for it!

    And I’m sure you can somehow make it fit in your theme.  Maybe they can be dipped in frosting and sprinkles that match your colors?  Or done up to look like little masks?  I don’t know.

    I voted yes, but I’m biased.  I’m doing Krispy Kreme doughnuts as my favors… in little boxes with ribbons.  I love your idea!

    I did our groom’s cake as Krispy Kreme doughouts. It was a nice surprise for him since he loves, loves them. Our guests nibbled on them during the dancing and the rest of the reception. I fully support donuts at weddings;)

    This might look nice with your theme!  Draped in pearls and flowers…

    @Corilee13:

    Wouldn’t they be cute?  You could put two together (maybe two smaller ones) and have them done up like a mask?  Or, I can see them dipped in like blue frosting (with a sheen) with dark purple sprinkles, or maroon frosting with dark purple…or green…whatever!  You could line them up, frosting side up in cute little boxes or on a nice glass plate.

    I wonder if you could do donut holes in little cups?  Hmmm.  Either way, I think it’s a cute idea.

    Absolutely!  I would use jewel toned flowers and maybe some ivy around the sides too… play up the different kinds of doughnuts in different layers.  Start off with them all decorated with the pearl strands, then they’ll just get moved aside as people take the doughnuts.

    I think it would be prettier with different kinds of doughnuts!
