Well I started Texas Weight Loss program because I had such a hard time losing weight.
I am an army veteran and my last mission in Iraq I broke a hip and broke it on my femoral artery…Seven weeks flat on my back, with no exercise and I gained a ton of weight. I had been about 130 but after not being able to move and then relearning to function with my hip, was up to 197 pounds. It didnt really hit me that I had gained so much weight until I tried on wedding gowns. The gown was slimming enough…really it just hid the bulges…
However I started trying to lose weight before I married to no avail. I would walk with my Darling Husband, then fiance, and we would play tennis, or hike and climb trails, all to no avail. I actually gained weight.
Worse yet I was going through menopause, which throws you out of whack even further. So after my wedding, and seeing myself in my gown and being so disgusted with the way I look. I started asking around.
A friend said she had been going to Texas Weight Loss….she lost 70 pounds and she has kept it off. So I joined. It was less than 200.00 f0r two months.
I went in and weighed in…197…god I was disgusted with myself. So they gave me a physical, and said I was good to go. I saw the physician and then started my B12 shots once every ten days…I take low dose amphetamines, and I exercise regularly… and I am monitored by a doctor.
I lost 4 pounds the first week. After that I dropped 2 pounds a week. Sometimes I skip the pills and I have maintained my weight but now Im not ready to quit. Im ready to start the next 20 pounds.
Our family vacation is coming up in 6 weeks…I want that 20 gone before I go to the beach…Dont want to scare the beach goers or the fishes.
Im not advocating this program for everyone. Im just saying it works for me.
