We are having a formal wedding (seated 3 course dinner) in Oct. Our colors are blush, gold & ivory. Have narrowed it down to these two dresses 🙂 please help!
they are both two big and clipped so keep in mind will be more fitted.

I voted the first one, but I’m biased in that I almost always prefer dresses with straps/sleeves. They’re both very flattering on you!

The cap sleeve one, no contest for me.

I voted cap sleeve. It looks more romantic to me, and I’m guessing there’s something really interesting happening in the back of that dress. I’m a sucker for a gorgeous back.

@Allyg: Gosh that back is gorgeous! I think both dresses are equally formal, but the satin one is a bit more modern (and common IMO), and the tulle one more Old World feeling. They’re both beautiful on you!

Love the cap sleeve dress. Its so beautiful and chic. I think it goes really well with a formal wedding. In find the second one is more common and does not make a huge statement as where the back as the cap sleeve dress does.

I tried on a charmuse mermaid similar in shape to the satin one and I found the way the skirt moved to be super awkward, it kind of flapped at the side of my knee. I love sleeves (have cap sleeves myself, no worries about doing that weird tug to keep the dress up and in the right place) and lace so this one is a no brainer for me. First one hands down. In my mind unless it’s a dress obviously designed for the beach, it’s a freaking wedding dress how is it not formal?!

I’d usually go with strappless, but I definitely prefer the cap-sleeved one! It just has such a beautiful, elegant feel to it!

I vote dress #1 with cap sleeve, very beautiful and classy! Perfect for a formal wedding.
