I don’t know how, but I’ve ended up falling in love with two dresses that couldn’t be more different! The first one is a mermaid dress and my main concern is that since it’s so slim-fitting, I might feel uncomfortable (or the dress might not look as flattering) later in the night after eating, etc.
Sorry I don’t have a picture of the second dress on.. the salon was very strict on the no photo policy. This one is the Adelaide from Watters. Much more fun (and forgiving in the waist) but also very heavy and much more expensive.
What do you bees think?? Thanks so much for your help!!!

I love the first one! What type of wedding are you having? I’m not a huge fan of the skirt in the second one (and the fact that its heavy!) I dont think the dress will change much on you after eating 🙂
With that said, you must be comfortable in your dress! Choose the one you keep coming back to in your mind!

Mermaid dress looks great on you. Does it come with the sash? It’s beautiful.

I had the same problem I was in love with a mermaid
and then I went with a ball gown
I went with the bigger gown because it felt more romantic and that is how I wanted to feel on the day of my wedding. Go with your gut. Think about how you want to feel if you want to for for a sexier look go for the mermaid but if you want to feel more romantic and dreamy definatly go for the ball gown that is the one I voted for. It is a gorgeous dress!!!

I absolutely love the Zhanna dress ! Its gorgeous ! I’ve never seen one like it ! It gets my vote for sure 🙂 Also, it seems to show you off more than the 2nd one would.

Mermaid dress!! I feel that the second one would overwhelm you – like the dress is wearing you, not the other way around

Wow.. you guys are so fast! Thanks for responding & for your sweet comments!
misschickpea We’re having a late Fall wedding with a rustic meets glamourous vibe (hopefully! haha!). Exposed wooded beams in the ceiling, lots of white candles, huge stone fireplaces.
SamanthaLovesJames The Zhanna does come with the sash- which is awesome! I feel like they usually try to nickel & dime you for those!
nycbrde2011 so funny that you had the same “problem”! I love both of your dresses!! Sometimes I feel like I should go for the ballgown because it’s the only time in my life I’ll ever get to wear one and it’s so fun & dramatic …. but… then I think how much my fiance would probably like the sexier dress. haha!
maudemaisha thank you so much! do the pointed edges on the skirt bother you at all? they drive my Maid/Matron of Honor crazy.. she thinks it looks like someone cut it with scissors!
Here’s two more pics just in case… : )
Thank you thank you!

If that’s you in that pic, you are positively ROCKING that mermaid dress! I may be biased because that’s the shape that I want so desperately to be able to wear! lol

I love the first one. It looks awesome on you!!

I voted for #1 because a) you are rocking that dress in your bod and b) it’s cheaper. But the ballgown is beautiful too. What kind of wedding are you having?
FWIW my Fiance voted for #1.
ETA: Just saw your description of your wedding. You could wear either dress in that setting so it just boils down to what look you are going for. Sounds beautiful btw!
