What type of photos do you want? Something more traditional? Something a bit more fun? You can always take some props with you like parasols and mickey ears for some fun shots. Maybe take an extra outfit with you so that you can change halfway into something different.

I’m sure there will be plenty of props when you get there!  A bunch of bright balloons, a giant hair bow (as a nod to Minnie!), and the bride and groom Mickey ears would be cute and kitschy.  You may not even need props, if you find interesting backgrounds for your photos.  Hope you have a blast!

Mickey ears for sure! Try arriving a little earlier and go through some of the shops. You may be able to find some fun, inexpensive props on site (toys, swords, candy etc).

That sounds like such a fun place to get epicks taken!  I have only been to the downtown disney in Florida, but there they have some really cool lego sculptures.  Those might make for some fun shots if they have those in CA.  You probably don’t even need to take a ton of stuff because there is so much going on.  I like the idea of ears though.

Can you bring sparklers to DD? If so, that would be really cool. You could spell out things or whatever. Downtown Disney at night is my favorite place in the world. (or close to it.)

I’d definitely take pictures by the string of lights on the West Side by that Cuban place and Wolfgang Puck. I think there’s so much there you might not need props. Maybe take some pictures on those boats if they let you? Also, try walking the path from downtown to Saratoga Springs that you get to from the bus stop at the Marketplace. It’s beautiful and brings you to a fountain and a lookout. The water there is just amazing.

If your lucky, your last name starts with a letter in California. We are taking pictures this summer with the R, wish we were going to with the L (only if I can con him into taking my last name). Laughing They are like 10′ tall.

Oh, I just realized you mean the one in California! Sorry, I was talking about the Orlando one. :/

Disneyland has plenty of props on the premises that you shouldn’t need to bring anything else in. You may not even be allowed to. Sparklers definitely aren’t allowed to be brought in. If you want pics taken with mouse ears, your photographer can take shots of you trying them on in the shops. Be creative. Also, your photographer will have ideas so trust their judgement.

@Ember: Is the California one gated? I know in Orlando it’s open to everyone, so they don’t check what you have. I mean, they might not like it if you have sparklers, I could see why they wouldn’t, but you don’t get searched or anything.

@lilyfaith, I have never been to the Orlando location, but the one in California is gated.

the one in california is not gated. you can walk in just like you do in orlando, it’s open to the public. if you want to get to the parks, then you have to go through a gated, bag check section. the one in cali is connected to the 2 parks, the grand californian hotel, and the disneyland hotel.

sorry, i don’t have any advice on what to bring, but i would definitely take pictures at the grand californian! that hotel is gorgeous. there are also some beautiful water fountains in downtown disney that would definitely make a pretty back drop.
