@prettyjen82: +1 to the pre-seed, too! When we BD’ed that many days in a row during my FW, there is NO WAY I would have survived without tons of that wonderful lube.
OP-how’s your natural cervical fluid? Are you sure you’re not using something that would inhibit sperm like saliva, non-conception friendly lubricants? Supposedly that’s like the number 1 thing to pregnancy success is having a good environment for the sperm to actually get through the cervix (the majority of sperm don’t make it through the cervix…also the theory behind lying down for a while after you BD), so I figured the extra pre-seed lubricant couldn’t hurt anything in addition to my own cervical fluid.

4 hours sounds crazy! I got pregnant from doing it in an upright position and immediately getting up and walking around afterward. I think you should consider other factors that may be working against you (like does your husband wear tight underwear, etc).

@cowgirlace: that stuff was our saving grace. Haha. We bd’d 5 days in a row. It was tough. 🙂 it was all worth it in the end!!

@Sbee82: DH and I were trying from Sept -Feb, all of those cycles i laid in bed, feet up, etc etc
We stopped trying in March and had sex one time around O date, I got up and went to the bathroom right away… and not i’m pregnant.
I’m sure is CAN help, but our bodies were created to reproduce so it’s definitely not NEEDED

Wow! I just got my BFP this cycle and I always get up and pee within 5 minutes because I’m another one who gets frequent UTIs. 4hrs seems a little excessive to me. I can’t even imagine really laying with my bum up for 10-20 minuites like I know some ladies do and PPs say they do it for even longer!

I personally think 4 hours is a lot, but if you are willing to try then go for it, why not? right? I have been trying since August, 2012 so if my doctor tells me to stand on my head, I would do it, too. As long as it gets me my LO. Now, I know putting your hips up, staying in bed, using soft cups and whatnot isnt really medically recognized or proven, but it also doesnt hurt to try. GL and I hope you get your BFP soon, lady!
