Can anyone tell which Bee wrote a post (way back) about Dragon Dancers in California and even posted an AWESOME video of them performing on poles with small platforms on them?
It’s the one where they jump from ground level to posts at least 5 ft off the ground and jump from post to post? Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Unfortunately not. It was created sometime last year. It was a street performance video.

This was really hard to find because the post wasn’t all about the Lion Dance Troupe!

If you would like to see or "audition" lion dancing teams in California, the best time to do it is THIS WEEEKEND!!!! Lion Dance teams are usually hired by area restaurants and businesses to bring good luck and ward away bad luck for Lunar New Year. Monday January 26 is New Year’s Day. That means there will be plenty of teams out of the streets in your local "Chinatowns" that will have performances this Saturday and Sunday.

Not all teams are created equal. There are good teams out there that can jump poles and do special tricks and then there are teams that just dance around. Seeing them perform is the best way to see how good they are if you are not familiar with them. Hope that helps.
