@BakerBee16:  Could it be because hair, shoes, makeup and alterations will most likely be much more than $100? She might perceive it as unfair financially.

Alterations and shoes should run you about 100 dollars which should even out the playing field….

As for hair and make-up did you decide to pay for this or where you expecting your girls to pay for it themselves?

Also, your bridesmaid does not have to know what arrangement you have made with the Maid/Matron of Honor………

@BakerBee16:  I agree with PP, I wouldn’t tell your other bridesmaid what your doing in addition for your Maid/Matron of Honor to make up the price.  Honestly, I did one extra thing for my Maid/Matron of Honor because she was REALLY helpful to me.  Literally I wouldn’t have gotten my wedding done without her.

But depending on where you live shoes can be really expensive.  Personally for my wedding my dresses were long and I let my girls pick their shoes.  I just wanted them to be silver, which all of them had a pair.  The Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses were at the top of everyones budget, so therefore that helped a lot.  No one even saw their shoes anyway.

I think if you paid for hair and makeup for your Maid/Matron of Honor, depending on price that’d be enough to make up for it. Or Alterations (usually somewhere between $30-$80) and hair. I would just keep it between you two though.
