I say go for it! I’ve gone from long to a pixie when I was around 20, and then just last year went from mid back to chin length and brown to platinum. As a teenager I also had all different colors. I love changing up my hairstyle.

I’ve gone from hair down to my elbow all the way to a pixie and everything in between.  Currently my hair is right past shoulder length with a side shave. I’ve also changed colors (hot pink, black, currently going blonder) but I don’t have any pics. I get bored with my hair pretty easily so I always love changing it up! Here are some of the more dramatic changes:

I had very long curly hair and cut it shoulder length which is the shortest I’ve ever had it. I really didn’t think about it too much before doing it.. I just woke up and was like today is the day! And went out and did it. Everyone was shocked. I love it and have kept it that short for a little over a year but now I miss my long locks so I’m currently growing it out a bit

Yes! It feels so good! I donated 12 inches of my hair 2 weeks ago to children with hair loss (they don’t charge kids for the wigs) and I’m so glad I did. I almost never styled my hair when it was long (I work in a lab), and when I did, I didn’t even like it. 🙄

I’m a huge fan of short pixie cuts. It”s one of the most liberating feelings to lob it all off! Had long hair that I never loved, coarse, and unflattering. At the end of high school I went from waist length hair to shoulder and never looked back. Since then I’ve sported a pixie through out college and professional school.  Grew it out only for my wedding 7 years ago to mid back only to chop it off again 2 days later. My hair grows fast.

The past few years I’ve done the undercut, bleached it, gone silver, purple and now back to brown. Color like that is so high maintenance especially after having a baby. So I’ve buzzed it 6 months ago (call it a bucket list sort of thing) and now its grown out and I’m contemplating what to do next. Dramatic hair styles are so fun. It’s a way I’ve always liked to express myself. Lucky for me my husband has always been supportive whatever I do. I’ve gotten weird looks from others but I could care less. I’m very confident with whatever look I want to rock.

Others ALWAYS tell me they wish they had the face for short cuts. I say, you do if you want it. So ladies, DO IT! You never know how awesome it feels until you do!!!

I had fun digging through my hair progression. I tend to get bored so I change it up a bit. Was red for awhile, then blonde, then got sick of it and went short and dark (and inconveniently got engaged at about that time) and grew it out and kept it dark for the wedding. Now I’m still slowly growing it out, coloured it pink for a few month, now I’m starting heading back to blonde. My poor hairdresser 😳

Splodge2003 :  Yay that’s so exciting! Make sure to post pics!

Here is my pixie cut from almost ten years ago (omg I’m getting old). Not exactly a crazy hairstyle, but I loved it!

And this was last year before and after:

I went from dark brown hair to platnium blonde to pink and then blue in about a year.

I had hair halfway down my back  – got it cut into a bob, and got an undercut. The hair was donated to CANSA (they supply wigs to cancer patients). The undercut was fun for about two weeks, then it started growing out…. the itch was terrible, and the direction it was growing in was parallel to the floor, so it made parts of my bob stick out at an awkward angle.

The bob is now more a lob, and the undercut has grown out to a length that can be tied up with the help with a few hairpins. I definitely prefer the lob (I like having my hair tied up), but do I regret getting an undercut? NOPE! Even though it got a bit hot with the hair loose (kept my hair loose at school, as an undercut would probably be frowned-upon at the Afrikaans school I work at), I am glad I tried it! Have fun!

About a year ago I went from shoulder length curly hair to a cute curly pixie. At first I was really self conscious of the dramatic change, but now I own it. My curly pixie has become my signature look now. At times I do miss my longer hair, but honestly, it wad a pain to style and straightening took over an hour. At one point I had straight hair down to my bra strap. I got fed up with my hair always being in my way and chopped it off to shoulder length and wore my natural texture. Then one day I stumbled across curly pixies and never went back. I feel liberated in a way with having super short hair. I jist shower at nite and it dries by the time I wakeup. Then I pit gel and hair spray and I’m out the door. I may get caramel highlights at some point…who knows 😂😃

My Motto: hair grows back. its not permanent.

I am very fortunate to have resilient thick hair and been able to try everything I have.

In addition to below Ive had a side undercut with tracks and plum purple pixie cut.

So blonde black pink purple red ginger balayage brown ….

pixie, bob, undercut, medium, long, bangs/no bangs

I havent tried dreads yet lol. currently reaching for waist length and fiance confessed he loves ginger hair which was my favourite colour and Id love to go back to!!!!

Hair can drastically change your appearance!

Here’s my haircut I’ve had since spring. It’s a sharp a-line with the left side shaved. I’ve had my side shaved about 3 years and always want it shorter and shorter! I keep it buzzed right to the skull now (1 guard). It’s actually shorter in the back and longer in the front now, to make the angle more dramatic. I used to have long, long hair with the same side shave, but I like this right now.
