All I can say is thank god I work with all men, it is awesome. No drama!

I generally get along way better with men than women though so I might be biased

Anna113619:  When you have to tell, people ” I’m not that young”….

Meh.,hyperbole about hating most of the community here (aka, women)  is met with dislike and you are the injured party. But you’re not that young. Okay.

“Give her a break with all the sexist comments.”

Does sexism ever give women a break in the workforce?

For everyone who thinks the original post is ok or inoffensive, try substituting “women” with a different demographic descriptor… ie “I work with this one Jewish person who is really annoying. I hate 90% of all Jews” or “I work with this one Asian person who is really annoying. I hate 90% of all Asians” Is it still an okay thing to say? If not, ask yourself why sexism is okay, but anti-semitism, racism, etc are not.

Yes…this is exactly why I’m quite enjoying working with 95% males.  The only other female here is the receptionist, and then there is the wife who is the co-owner, but hardly around.

At my last job, a couple women came into power, and because I didn’t kiss their ass, I got laid off after 6.5 years of being at a job I loved and was good at and them being there less than 2 years.  Awesome.  Bitchy female colleagues at their best.

I actually work with mostly women in my lab, one man and our boss is a man, but it’s ok and we’re cool with each other. None of us are very girly and we tend to have more laid back personalities so I think that helps. There’s 4 of us now plus my boss, but we did have one other girl who worked with us for the first couple years we were here (we all started at the same time when the lab got set up). She was a totally two-faced bitch. I actually thought we were friends for most of the time. She was very moody, sometimes she was very happy and talkative and other times she would ignore everyone and not even say hi to you. After she left we all kind of found out that she was talking about all of us behind our backs and even complained to the head of our program saying we were all lazy and that she was the only on who worked hard. She even went so far as to go to our office and complain about our boss with her lies, after coming back to the lab to visit and socialize. Needless to say we all hate her now and she’s gonna get it if she shows up to visit again.

WestCoastV:

I think comparing someone to a racist is a pretty heavy statement…….I think you took a small issue and tagged on the word racist and made it bigger than it is AKA drama

You know, if a man made the exact same post, there would be a riot underway currently.

sway0060:  I believe discrimination based on race, sex, religion, sexual orientation, disability, etc is all wrong. That is the point I was illustrating. I didn’t say the OP was a racist or comparable to a racist. I doubt (hope) that the OP and anyone else on this thread doesn’t genuinely “hate 90% of women” so if anyhting on this thread was dramatic it would be that statement.

Meh I don’t know, almost all work places I have worked in is 90% female and have never had an issue regarding a ton of drama. I mean there is always drama but that includes both genders.  People will never be 100% happy or you can’t please everyone at the same time.. OP could it just be you, maybe you do not get along with your own gender?
