I had somewhat drastic alterations – taken in from A-line to more fitted down to mid-thigh, added a lot more pouf (seamstress sewed in petticoat), brought the neckline down an inch in the middle and made into a scoop rather than straight across.  I go back on Friday for my final (hopefully) fitting.  I will try to get pics and post before and afters.  If you have a good seamstress pretty much anything is possible, it may not be cheap, but it is possible.  My seamstress came highly recommended from my photographer, venue, florist, and 2 close friends.

I don’t have pics yet, but I’m cutting my a-line, court train dress into a tea length, removing at least 2 of 4 layers of crinoline to de-pouf it some, and having red lace sewn at the hem of the under layer. My little ol’ lady seamstress is only asking $80 for all that work! My appointment is for the end of June to take it in for her to get started. I’m so excited.

I would love to see pictures of mdc’s dress as well. I’m contemplating turning my a line into more fitted with possibly more poof at the bottom. Curious to see before and afters.
