I was born in Mississippi and raised in New Orleans since I was 2. Within the last month we got two “snow days” because of just the threat of snow (no snow actually fell). When Fiance and I get married in May, we will be moving to the Upper Penesula (sp?) of Michigan for a year while Fiance finishes up his degree. Any advise from norther brides on anything and everything related to winter or someone who has been in a similar situation?

I live in tbe power peninsula and this is the WORST winter I can remember in the 34 years I have lived here. you.will need GOOD quality ski gloves, heavy coats, good boots, hats, silk long johns are the bomb, sweaters and good warm clothes. heavy duty battery in the car, really.good snow.tires.
sorry for the typos. none of the functions work on here using my phone so I cant back up to correct. s.ow is measured mostly in feet up there! dont worry, it will al be good and you will make great memories.for the year.

Oh my gosh get ready. We moved from Florida to South Dakota for our job. That is the only thing keeping me here because I love it.
I started a thread on boots and there was so much good advice on it from bees with way more experience.
Here’s the link if you care: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/what-kind-of-winter-boots-do-you-use#axzz2tjQ9x6il
