- Wedding: June 2016
My Fiance and I originally planned our wedding for winter 2015 here in Australia. All of our family and friends were invited (about 70-80 people), big sit-down dinner, church reception, I had ordered a princessy lace dress, and the whole thing was going to cost about $20,000 AUD.
Unfortunately, because of some unexpected trip-ups and my Fiance having to go back to his home country, Denmark, we had to totally scrap our plans. Now looks like we’re going to be eloping to an island in Denmark (where I’m moving in with him next year) in summer 2016 – it’ll be just the two of us, casual courthouse wedding, fancy restaurant dinner, and I managed to find a lovely, plain dress on sale (Mori Lee 2322). There is a company that organises it all for you – flowers, hair, make up, wedding car, accommodation, paperwork etc… and the whole thing will only cost us $6,000, including the dress, and that’s with a week’s accommodation and meals! It’s like a wedding and honeymoon in one!
Even though our plans have changed so drastically, I seriously couldn’t be more happy. Has anyone else had any drastic changes to their wedding that they’ve loved/hated?
