Just had my first wedding dream last night actually. More of a nightmare though becasuse I dreamt that it rained all day and there was no back up plan so our whole wedding was cancelled.

I had one of the worst wedding ever it was just so bad… I ended up falling in water nothing went right the vendors ate all the food. and then blamed it on me. and i lost Fi’s ring… Atleast you wake up and can say “It was just a dream!”

I had a dream last week that my sister changed our plans and the wedding was held at a horrible restaurant with plastic booths.  The menu was strictly desserts–from Costco (she loves Costco) and they were all laid out on the different tables.  The officiant wore a gigantic bishop’s hat and Fi was wearing a baby blue tux.  It was terrible.  🙁

I had my first nightmare the night we got engaged. This week I dreamt that my Fiance dumped my and my parents didn’t want to cancel the wedding so I had to marry my cousin (he’s 12). I also dreamt that it was the day of the wedding and we forgot to send out invitations or get an officiant. I was so mad at Fiance because he had refused to help, I’m surprised I wasn’t screaming in my sleep!

So relieved to see I’m not the only crazy one!

Oh, this thread is awesome. Two nights ago I had my first wedding dream – the timing was off on everything, and everything was running really far behind. I think my subconscious wants a DOC!

I’ve had a few since getting engaged. One was walking in to the reception and it was a color that I despise. Second one was over the food being seafood (I’m severly allergic to seafood…as in my throat closes immediately lol.. yeah that was fun one to discover at my college graduation party lol). 3rd one was driving up to the location of the ceremony and it had moved. It was literally a paved over lot with a ‘for sale’ sign on it lol

Yeeeaaah, I’ve been occasionally having wedding dreams/nightmares for awhile now.  The most recent ones were Fiance deciding to call it off a day or two before the wedding and going into hiding so I had to tell everyone (woke up crying from that one), and another one where I was getting married to someone other than Fiance, the guy was kind of a jerk, and I ran into my ex and decided to get back together with him instead (which would never happen – if I ran into him, I’d be hoping it would be with my car).

I only had a few here and there, but man, I don’t miss them! I had a few about Darling Husband calling off the wedding, but the worst was when everything went wrong due to lack of planning.  I forgot to make appointments for hair and makeup, and everyone was full.  I never got my dress altered, our photographer didn’t show up, etc.  I still cringe thinking about it, nearly a year after our wedding.  (by the way, none of those bad things happened!)

@Linz1231: Yeah, most of mine have been like that.  I had one where we got to our reception and I realized that there were no decorations on the tables, our favors weren’t set up, the bar was in some random spot where nobody could find it, and the dance floor was super small (like 5×5 or something ridiculous like that).

I’ve had the same dream about 4 times now. In my dream the ceremony is going to start in ten minutes and my mom, grandma, and Maid/Matron of Honor haven’t arrived to help me get ready. The only makeup I have to put on is all dried out so I can’t wear makeup. I forgot to hire a hair stylist so I’m forced to straighten my hair, and I forget my jewelry, shoes, and bouquet.

The funny thing is that my dream always takes place in a Sunday school room from the church I went to as a child. I haven’t been there in years. Funny how our minds work!
