Try and find an independent seemstress or dressmaker. alot of the bridal boutiques charge up the butt for any alterations and are a bit snotty if you didn’t buy from them. I have a lady that used to make my figure skating dresses usually make or alter my dresses. I’m not from LA so I can’t help you that way, but I’m sure there are a bunch of them!

Sounds like a bit of an overahaul to me…I don’t think some straps would be an issue, but a keyhole…I don’t know they may have to lower the back of the dress to make it work. I would put together some pictures of what you want and talk to an independent seamstress..

I’ve tried on a lot of dresses where the whole straps/keyhole part is just a separate piece, so I’m sure it’s doable and that they’re sold.  I’d talk to a tailor with some expertise and see what they recommend.

Just find a bridal shop that does alterations!  I had this made for my dress.

wbck:  I added on cap sleeves to my Matthew Christopher Sofia Gown. When I ordered the dress, I asked for some extra of the swiss dot fabric to make the sleeves. They were great for the ceremony and I took them off for dancing for the reception!
