i have begun my hunt for the perfect wedding dress. only problem is i am extreamly picky on what i want and i am having trouble finding everything i want in one dress. my perfect dress would have
2. dropped waist
3. sweetheart neckline
4. chapel train
5. some form of shoulder cap sleeve about 1 to 3 inches thich (not long sleeve, short sleeve, speghetti strap)
6. sparkles/ shiney gems/ beading’
7. no sashes or large bows/flowers
anyone know of any dresses i could try on and see if i like going along with those? even if it only has a couple of them, it could still be a place for me to start.
thanks and i appreciate all advice.

Check out weddingshoppeinc.com. They have a huge amount of dresses and you can put in most of your criteria. At least you can look at different lines there and get an idea of what is out there.

They also have tons of dresses and you can refine the search by your criteria

im a full figured girl, and im not very comfortable with the fit and flare, rather would just rather have the dropped waist that bells out at the hips slightly, no ball gowns or mermaids. but thank you those are pretty.

@Mrs.Kennedy: Have you tried on a fit and flare, or are you just assuming you won’t like them. I think if you haven’t tried them on, you should give them a go, they can actually work really well on many different body types.
Also, if your wedding is in 2013, you have a lot of time, there will be alot of new dresses coming out between now and when you really need to buy a dress.

i know my wedding is a long way away, but i need to start looking way in advance because im so picky and im so afraid of not finding a dress. also, the reason we have a date so far in advance is i want to pay off my student loans from college before getting married. this is actually going by faster then i had thought it was going to, and i am 6 months ahead of my payments and should be paid off by june, so we might bump up the date of the wedding.

I am not usually a fan of david’s bridal , but this was one of their dresses that I tried on and liked, and your list made me think of it instantly. It’s made mostly of organz but there is alot of lace detailing on the bodice, capsleeves, and hem/ train.
The belt is removable ( I personally like it though 🙂 ) , and it is a modified sweetheart but can be made into a deeper sweetheart if you wished it .
Is this more of what you were talking about?
