Hello Bee’s! So I have my first fitting on March 12th – can’t believe the wedding is so close! Anyway, I need some help with my dress. I LOVE my dress but I don’t know if it’s too plain. There is a small amount of beading on the side but that’s it. You can see it better when I have the blue sash on it but I am planning on wearing it for just the reception; want my dress to clean for the ceremony. I’m also adding a picture of the head band that I’m wearing. Maybe jewelry will help me out more. If so – any suggetsions for earings that go with the headpiece? So my dilemma is to: A. leave it as is B. take off the beading and get a sparkley sash C. wear blue sash for ceremony too.

@ashnic87: As much as I love that blue color, I feel like it might be too much for a sash. I’m for a blingy sash! Beautiful dress, by the way!

@pengoala: +1 That blue reminds me of those Something Blue Manolos! But yeah, I think it’s too startling against the stark white of your gown. I would remove the side bling – it’s a little random right now – and add a crystal/beaded sash. It would also make your waist look teenier too!

Date twins!!!!!! Only 66 days to go 😀 And I voted for the blingy sash. I think it would amp up the stunning factor so much with the dress and your figure. But either way its going to look amazing!

@ashnic87: as much as i love that color of blue…i really dont think it goes well on ur dress. it looks like u just stuck it there and i can tell it wasnt meant to be on the dress. i would remove beading and get a sparkly sash! will compliment your head band well! 🙂 dress looks great by the way!!

I’d take off beading and add bling sash for sure! I’m not big on the blue sash, but bling will look awesome!

I’m not a huge fan of the blue. I think adding a blingy sash would be gorgeous!

Blingy sash! I don’t like the blue. LOVE that headband!!

Sorry but not a fan of the blue sash either. I think a bling belt or a softer colour would look better.
Love Love that head band 🙂

Blingy sash all the way!!!! It’s a beautiful dress and I think the blingy sash will add to it, while the blue is sort of distracting (to me anyways :P)

@ashnic87: I would definitely look into getting the blingy thing removed from the side of the dress and replace it with a gorgeous blingy sash and go with a simple hair accessory with simple jewelry! Love the simplicity and elegance of your gown! Are you going to be wearing blue shoes under your dress? I agree with a PP that the blue reminds of some gorgeous Manolo Blahniks (not sure I spelled that right) that I have seen online! Whatever you decide to do, I am sure you will look gorgeous! 🙂

I’m not a fan of the blue sash at all….so my vote is no to that and add a blingy one instead!!
@ashnic87: Not sure if this is too expensive but its gorgeous and I love the idea of this with your dress!

Thanks ladies for all the advice. The sash that is in the picture isn’t the same sash that I bought. They didn’t have the thick one that I would be wearing, so they put two little one’s together, so it def doesn’t look right. And also that blue is the colour of my wedding, so going with another color wouldn’t look right.
I haven’t decided. David’s Bridal doesn’t have a big selection of sash’s in the store so I may just have to stick with what I have and have blingy jewerly. I’m definately keeping my head band though – paid way too much money to not use it!

@ashnic87: That color of blue was also in my wedding. I didn’t do this, but how about wrapping your bouquet in the blue rather than having it on your sash? That way you can have a little touch of blue when you walk down the aisle.
