I think you should go try dresses on. I thought i would look great in one style and it was aweful. I though i would hate other style and honestly they were awesome. Im not “aging” as you put it but i am 30kgs overweight and most is in my belly.

I basically have the same body type as you. I hold all of my weight in my boobs and belly, but I have good arms and legs. I wore a dress with a pleated drape to hide my belly pooch. In general, I think ruching is a good way to downplay a prominent stomach.

Yaynowwhat:  that’s an interesting article. I think i’m an 8 shape too then, given my high hips. Always found shopping really hard.

Anyway, i don’t think you’ll have a problem finding something to flatter your figure. As others have said, you really just have to try a few on. Wedding dresses are made to flatter and have all sorts of trickery to help, whether that’s ruching or inner corsetry.

Lol at shite suit!

Yaynowwhat:  I would guess that you were an apple shape, but who cares about semantics? You’re unhappy with your body right now.  You have just two options 1) accept yourself as is and stop feeling bad about your body or 2) lose the weight and tone.

Age 36 is not too old to get in shape and tone, if that’s what you want to do! My 40 year old co-worker had her first baby last year last June and looks better then ever now.  She’s breast feeding, working out, etc.  If she can get in shape at 40 with an infant and a demanding job, you can do it!
