I tried on my dress the other night (sorry no pics yet) and the top is a bit big. It is a ball gown. Around the chest area it sticks out/away from my chest a bit. They said not to worry they will take it in. My fear is it will not lay “flat” right up against my skin/chest. I mean with the boning in the top of the dress will they really be able to pull it in enough to get it to lay right up against me?
Anyone else have this or notice this when they picked up their dress at first? Was this problem solved after alterations and did your dress lay up against you? Right now the dress sticks out away from my boob area!
Opionions and your experiences with this. Thanks.

When I first got my dress, I kept tugging it around in all different directions because I too didn’t feel like the bust was laying flat enough against my bust. My seamstress said it was because the dress was a bit too big in the bust. They took it in a bit and it fit perfectly, and I felt all secure and covered up! Just a couple of alterations can fix it. 🙂

I had the same problem and instead of altering the dress, I added cutlets. It boosted my breasts enough to sort of fill in the dress. It was way cheaper then basically deconstructing the whole top!!

The alterations to the bust of my dress didn’t cost too much, but it’s great to have options!
