Hey everyone! I had my final dress fitting today whuch left me a little uneasy and I’m not sure if I’m overreacting or not. I’m not that well endowed (30D, which is actually pretty small) so I wasn’t initially concerned about spillage in my strapless dress, but now I’m worried it looks too tight and boob-y. My seamstress assured me that strapless gowns are supposed to look this way, and she’s probably right but I was hoping to get a second opinion here. What would you do?
The back fits great with no spillage, and I’ll have my hair down and straight which should draw some attention away from the chest area (my hair falls about 6 inches above my waist). Should I leave it or have it taken out?
Pardon the uneven shoulders, I wasnt exactly ready for the pictures 🙂

Yeah, I’m with you. It looks a bit too tight and very odd looking. I’m sitting here looking at them with a puzzled look on my face. It just seems off, too tight across the top.
Do you have on the undergarments you are going to wear with it (or not)? Can it be pulled up a little higher? Is it comfortable? I’d have her fix it.

I don’t think it’s too tight, but the torso looks too short. Otherwise it’s absolutely beautiful!

I’m a 32 DDD and I was able to get in to a strapless dress that stayed up fine without giving me a “quad boob”… That dress does look a little tight, and its cutting your “girls” in half -not fair of your seamstress to just say “well, that’s how it has to be”. Does it have boning?

In your first pic the dress is lower on your bust.It looks like your breasts are in danger of spilling.
The seamstress needs to do a better job, so the dress stays where it belongs.

i agree that it looks like it is sitting too low. in the top pic it looks as if you were to lift your arms your nipple should pop out. i think that if it was pulled up just a smidge it would fit better through the top.

Looks like those babies are about to pop right out.

Can it be pulled up higher? Or will that cause the natural waist to be too high up on your torso? It does look like you might pop out any minute, more so because it just seems so low on your chest not because it’s too tight.

hmm doesn’t look right at all up top – I agree about the torso appearing too short because of how tight the top is. The dress is so sweet and romantic and soft but that first picture where your bust area is spilling out negates the whole feel of the dress. I’d take it to a different seamstress.

I would have it taken out just a bit so that it’s not cutting into your breasts.

It doesn’t look right to me. It definitely looks too tight. My dress was strapless sweetheart and I disagree with your seamstress, that is not how it should look and a good seamstress should be able to easily fix that.

Thanks for the input everyone! I left a message for the seamstress and hopefully we can get the dress pulled up a little higher. I dont think she left a lot of fabric to work with but hopefully we can come up with something!

My dress was tightest just below the bust – it actually had a belt inside to keep it tight and close to the body. Mine didn’t give me a double boob – i’m 34Dear Daughter.

yeah that’s definitely too tight! I’m a 32F and I don’t get boobage like that in well-fitting strapless dresses.

The top does look tight, but it also look like it’s sitting a little off. The “belt” portion should pull you in visually and be at your smallest point, but it looks a bit like it’s on the start of your hips rather than your waist. You’re obviously teeny tiny, but I think some slight alterations would make your fabulous figure look even better.
