I ordered my wedding dress the week before Thanksgiving and it just came in. I tried it on yesterday and it won’t zip. I’m plus size and it was a bit snug when I ordered it, though it zipped. My bridal consultant had said if I ordered a size up it would be ‘way too big.’ She said I could just get alterations to let it out a bit. Okay, fine.
Due to the holidays and stress though,, I gained a bit of weight. (I stress eat and I have no idea how to stop, as stupid as that sounds). I’m freaking out because I have a little under three months left and I don’t want to get my dress altered and then need it to be altered again. So, I’m going to try to go to the gym more and eat better.
Does anyone have any healthy recipes they could share? Any tips or advice? Thanks.

Your bridal consultant was completly wrong to allow you to order a dress too small and a size up is not ”way too big”. Taking in a dress is far easier then letting it out.
Cut out pop. Dont eat after 8 but if you must stop a grumbling tummy, have celery and if you must, dip it in a low cal balsamic dressing. Walk a treadmill every day and do planks everyday along with crunches/sit ups.
Have salad with EVRYTHING. Lots if chicken. Just have chicken breast and salad. Drink lots of water and if you need that pop fix, settle for a diet coke/pepsi or whatever pop you like.
Im sorry you have to deal with this, your consultant consulted you wrong and I would be pissed.

ugghh That sucks! I am SURE it will work out! You should also try and reduce the amount of sodium you consume.
You still have around three months! You can do it!

@Itsallcomingtogether: It is going to be 100% ok. The thing you need to do count your calories and make better choices. You dont have to be hungry, but you need to know what is good and bad. When I stress eat, I now have very thinly sliced ham, cheese and pickles. If thats not what I’m craving, dark chocolate chips do wonders. Do you have a my fitness pal account? If you dont, make one and track everything you eat for a few days just to see how many calories you are eating. Dont lie to yourself and cheat the numbers. Measure and count. Then, once you see how many calories you are eating and aware of calories in food, you can make a few cuts and substitutions.
If you already know all of that, then sorry for just telling you things you knew. I wish somebody had told me a lot sooner though. For example, I always thought peanut butter was great for you, but one PBJ sandwich is 1/3 of my daily dieting calories!!!

I’m in the same situation, I am cutting own on carbs and when I do eat them, trying to eat whole weat with good amounts of fiber only. Up your veggie intake and stop drinking calories. A week before the wedding I’m going to cut out all carbs other than veggies to drop a few quick pounds of glycogen.
