I’d find a dress maker/seamstress who you are really confident in to tackle this. Make sure that they understand the look that you are going for, are on board and have experience piecing lace seamlessly back together, and are able to achieve the result you are dreaming of. How high do you think you’ll want the front to come up/

That’s good to know that the fit on you is more a-line, because if it is as fitted as it is on the model, the hem may not lay how it does in the examples you posted.

Are you able to get fabric that matches the dress? I can see there being an issue with how fitted the dress is around the knee now vs how you want it.  It sounds like you have a great seamstress though so hopefully it works out.

If the bottom is more like an A line like you said, I’m sure it would look fine. But I agree, I recommend finding a very good and very trusting seamtress to tackle it.
