So I ordered my dress from Bridal Mart in Burlington, but it is almost an hour away and I would rather not drive back and forth for alterations.
Unfortunately Olga in Cary can’t take any more new customers for when I need my dress to be altered by, so does anyone know of anybody that does great alterations in the Raleigh/Cary/Durham area?

I have heard that Diamond’s Bridal (in Raleigh) is pretty good for alterations. But I haven’t used them or personally know of anyone who has, so I can’t swear by them.
When I was dress shopping, I went to Alexia’s Bridal Boutique (in Cary) and Traditions by Anna (in Raleigh) and had really good experiences at both places. Both salons do alterations, but they might not do them on dresses that they didn’t sell. It’s probably worth a shot to call and ask. They might have recommendations if they won’t do the alterations themselves.

I am in the same position. My dress just came into a bridal store in Maryland (after being reordered twice),and now I’m moving to Raleigh, NC next week. I also called Olga and she is booked for the next few months, and my wedding is on July 11th. If you find a reliable place for alterations, please let me know and I will do the same. I’m getting nervous that I may not have a dress that fits for my wedding!!!!!

Ladies, try Exclusive Alterations in North Hills (Raleigh) – 919-788-0048…. Shahla’s previous experience was in Bridal and now she does pretty much anything. She took in a formal bridesmaid’s dress for me that was 2 sizes to big and she did a fabulous job!

I go to a woman who works out of her home. She does a great job and is very reasonable. She lives off Six Forks Road.

She is very nice and has tailored two of my friend’s wedding gowns, as well as countless other items. My dress isn’t in yet but she will be doing mine, as well.
