I’m thinking about ordering a Maggie Sottero dress from Tradesy… This dress..
It is a label size 12 (she put street size 8 but I don’t think that’s correct). Could I have this altered to a size 6-8 easily? It does have a corset back as well.

That style dress is usually pretty easy to alter. I have a similar style Vera Wang that was altered from a 14 to an 8 with no issues.

Yes, you should be able to alter it fairly easily. Your seamstress will take it in on the sides and reshape the tops of the cups so they will fit you, otherwise they will be too wide. I just had a Maggie altered from a 14 to a 10 and she had no problems. Mine was a corset as well.

Shouldn’t be too much of a problem!

@Jw1724: I’m kind of late but I wanted you to know that a label size 12 often does equal a street size 8. For example, I’m a street size 6/8 and I was in between a label size 12 and 14…just to give you some peace of mind 🙂
Congrats on ordering the dress!
