i’ve been in LOVE with birdcage veils for a few years now and bought it without thinking about my dress. let me know… do they go? (totally didn’t mean to rhyme) i thought maybe a mantilla veil would look better but i already bought my birdcage.
let me know your opinions! birdcage or mantilla?
btw, i’m planning on having my hair down in loose large curls and the picture of the veil is the EXACT veil i already bought.

I think your dress would look fantastic with a mantilla. You could wear the mantilla for the ceremony and then switch to the birdcage (either forwards or backwards) for the reception and get the best of both worlds.

I think either would be fine with your gorgeous dress! One option would be to rock the mantilla during the ceremony and then switch out to the birdcage for the reception… But if you didn’t feel like getting another veil, you are probably set!

I think a mantilla would clash a little with the detail of your dress. A birdcage would look great, and you would still be able to see all of your dress!

I think, with the detail on the dress (which is gorgeous, by the way – who makes that?), the mantilla would be too much and take away from the dress. I’d go birdcage, and the one you bought is lovely.

the dress is a casablanca 1827. i got it for $705 at bestbridalprices.com
I just fell in love with the mantilla veil as well because of mrs. champagne. she wore the exact dress with the same hairstyle that i’m going to wear + mantilla veil.

The dress is simply beautiful excellent choice. I voted either veil would go well but now that I think of it the mantilla veil paired with this dress has a more romantic feel.

I love the idea of a mantilla for the ceremony and the birdcage for the reception. Of course, it may just be because that’s exactly what I did! The birdcage will look great though if you don’t want to go the 2 veil route. It also might be hard to find a mantilla that matches the beautiful detail on your dress.

Hmmm, I would really like the mantilla with that dress, which is beautiful! I love the idea mentioned about wearing the birdcage for the reception. That’s a great way to relax the look and still have your super cute birdcage veil in pictures.

I think the dress would be pretty either way. If you don’t want both and you love birdcages, wear the one you have! It would be beautiful!

I like the Birdcage! I think it looks elegant. I’m doing the same. I can also see you in a lace long veil with that dressas well.

I think a mantilla might be too much. Plus I am crazy about matching, the lace would have to match for me.

I love the mantilla. I wouldn’t have said that before looking at mrs. champagne’s photos…just gorgeous!!
