Whoa. As I typed the tags for this post, I thought, "wow, maybe those two words should not be in the same sentence…"
But seriously, I have a bit of wedding gown anxiety. I haven’t found a dress yet for my October wedding that will be held outside at my family’s ranch. It’s so hard to nail down a choice. Does this happen to anyone else out there?

My advice: keep going! keep trying dresses on, you will find one! and even if you don’t have an "it’s the ONE" moment … it doesnt’ mean that it isn’t the perfect dress. Don’t be anxious. bring some friends, your mom, your fiance anyone! Smile, it will work out, I promise. The dress is just a dress … it’s the groom that is forever 🙂

Considering there is always so much focus put on the dress I can understand this completely. I like simple but elegant dresses and when it comes to clothing…I’m very decisive. So, I found my dress the first day I went shopping (3rd dress I tried on). However, I’ve heard this story over and over again. It’s normal to be anxious because this is probably the biggest detail of your wedding that you’ve been dreaming about since you were a little girl. All I can say is just keep looking. Relax and try on as many beautiful gowns as you can. You will find it. And you’ll know you found it the second you try it on. 🙂 Good luck!

I agree with all above – keep trying. The dress should make you feel fabulous – don’t settle for less than that. I live in Buffalo, NY and just ordered my dress – less than 6 months out.
I am tall, so my search was twice as hard. But nevertheless, even a small town like Buffalo had a dress for me. Mine is Mikaella. I love all of their dresses.

Haven’t found mine yet either for my October wedding. Geting closer though. I also have not had an ah ha moment. I’m short and many dresses can’t be altered to fit correctly. I need a Hallow to Hem custom cut and not all makers offer this. I’m mainly considering Casablance.

You all make me feel so much better! I have a dress in mind: (Anjolique 811), and I keep thinking about it. But I also have spoken with the woman at the dress shop and she’s pulling out a couple others I might like. Hopefully, my mom will be able to come over soon to check out the dresses with me. So far, I’ve taken my sister and one of my friends (non bridesmaid). I want my mom to be part of the process. None of my bridesmaids live in the same town as me, so it’s tough to get them in on the process.

I probably tried on close to 100 dresses. I had all kinds of analysis paralysis. I finally narrowed it down to 2 and couldn’t decide between them. I finally figured out that they were both the wrong dress (though both had elements that I loved). Inspired by Miss Snapdragon, I looked one more time and found the perfect dress! It took some patience and dedication, though…
You’ll figure it out… rest assured!

As an Anjolique bride, I’ll say that I don’t think you can go wrong. 811 is beautiful, and every Anjolique gown I tried on felt luxurious (for half the price of other dresses of similar quality!).

Yay! I found the dress! It is one that I’ve tried on three times now; my mom came to town yesterday and helped me choose. I am so happy I’ve found it; I keep wanting to tell everyone the good news, and then realize that lots of people won’t be quite as excited as me! But, alas, here it is…
So, no exact link (I just checked.) But if you’re interested, it’s from the Aire Barcelona collection, and the dress is called Dilan. The sample dress at the store was in red, and I’m going with ivory, of course.
I’m thinking of making a big ol’ turquoise necklace to wear with it…
