$200???  My advice is buy it!  It is a gorgeous dress, and I bet it can be easily altered a couple of sizes down.  How does it fit now?

For only $200? I’d definitely risk it! Alterations can always help you out.

I can’t lie, I’m going to side with him.

I’d wait even if its just a couple more months.  You’ll always find dresses for $200, and ones you can try on too!  Not just imagine on yourself from pictures on the internet.

You can always have it altered. I would buy it. It’s a steal.

I feel like the potential reward outweighs the risk here.  If you wait, there is very high chance you’ll have to spend a great deal more than $200 for a dress you like, and the weight loss might not be drastic enough to require serious alterations at all (not trying to be negative at all, but counting on weight loss doesn’t work out in many cases).

Also, $200 is such a steal that you will likely be able to sell it again if you end up being too small.  I say go for it!

I think most people have to pay for alterations anyways, if the potential size difference isn’t more than 2 sizes (I think that’s the rule) then I would get it, $200 is a great price if you absolutely love the dress! A dress can be made smaller but usually not bigger.

I’d say go for it.  If you were a long ways out from your wedding, then I might say wait and see what happens, but you are only 6 months out.  I know you CAN lose a lot of weight in that time (I lost 60 pounds in less time then that) but if this is a dress you love, I wouldn’t go off of wishes and hopes, but plan for what IS and then go with plan B if the wishes and hopes come true!  🙂

if you love the dress, get it. 1) you can always have it altered down- much easier to alter a dress down and 2) if you lose so much weight it can’t be altered then you can sell it for at least $200.
