I am the bride who 2nd guesses things. My mom passed away a few years ago and she was the one person that would help me feel confident in my decisions. I know this is a flaw of mine and I know the opinions of strangers shouldn’t matter.
With all that being said, I had a very hard time dress shopping. I ended up buying 2 dresses and at this time I am having a very hard time deciding between the 2 I purchased. I plan to alter both dresses and decide literally once it gets closer to the wedding date but was hoping for your honest opinion on which you like better as it may help influence me in one direction over the other.
At this time I love both equally. Please keep in mind both dress images are of me in the sample dress and are too large. I will need to alter both.
Notes on dresses:
Lace dress: in alterations I would have it fit like shown. I would add a petty coat underneath to add more volume to the bottom to give the true mermaid style.
Dress that is not lace: this is a bit more simpler. Has the mermaid style. Do you like the fit of this on me?
Which do you think flatters my body the best? Honest opinions are welcome.

I think you look gorgeous in both but I like the look of the lace dress on you a bit more.

kristenchurm: They both look great on you but I think the bottom one is more flattering.

kristenchurm: I would stick with the first dress. Its beautiful, romantic, and with a petticoat it will look amazing!

I prefer the bottom one. It flatters your fabulous curves more. That said, they are both gorgeous, so go with your gut.

Thank you so much for all of your advice and opinions so far.

Going by just the pictures alone and knowing they’re both sample dresses, I think the second one fits and flatters your body best. It’s accentuating your curves beautifully!

I love the first one. I think it is classic and timeless. I think the first one makes you look too curvy (you look petite) I would maybe gets cups or take in the waste a bit. But looks beautiful!!

Second one is So much more flattering!

The second one gives you more of an hourglass figure. I think #2 looks better by a landslide.

kristenchurm: I LOVE the second one, I think you’re figure looks amazing and the softness of the dress has a really romantic look to it

They are both beautiful and will flatter ur figure so I think u just have to decide which vibe you are going for – romantic and classic (first) or a bit more modern and sophisticated (second). Other bees, feel free to chime in and use words to describe them… I wasn’t too sure how to describe the vibe of the second dress.

Personally I like the lace, but whichever one you choose, you really can’t go wrong. Both dresses are beautiful and your figure looks amazing.

Number two is beautiful! I always thought I’d end up with a lace gown, until I started popping onto the bee.. When I see dresses like your number 2, I can’t wait to start trying them on myself!
Both look lovely though, I can see why you’re stuck. Perhaps think about the wedding theme, that may help to shift you one way or the other?

My pick is dress #1, but you look great in both.
The lace is beautiful and romantic and gives you a longer, leaner silhouette (which looks great on you!)
The bottom dress gives you more of a va-va-voom sort of figure, if that’s what you’re going for.
