I think it would be fine, but every parish varies. As long as you’ve discussed expectations with your priest, you will be fine. (Someone I know didn’t do this and was told a week before her ceremony that she couldn’t show her shoulders and had to scramble for a solution).

If your priest says no you can wear a small bolero, during the ceremony. I’ve seen that done numerous times.

that dress is gorgeous! i’ve never seen any restrictions on fit – maybe on sleeves but not on that. i get not wanting to look too “sexy” in church but many dresses are fitted without being inappropriate. i think it’s beautiful. definitely check on the bare shoulders, though.

I agree with PPs – I’ve never seen restrictions on fit, just on covering arms and shoulders. As long as it’s not one of those see through dresses that looks more like lingerie, I think you’re good to go I got married in a very conservative US Catholic church, and I wore a mermaid style dress that was fitted through the hips – it was shaped a lot like the one you have pictured. No one had a problem with my dress (I just had to get a cover for my shoulders and upper arms as it was a strapless dress).

I think that should be fine, but I’m more commenting just to get the details on that dress, I’m in love! do you mind sharing the designer/model number?? I’ll also be getting married in a Catholic Church

We were told to cover shoulders in the church, but there were no restrictions on tightness. My dress had sleeves (also married in a Catholic church in the UK). May I also suggest a bolero, if that helps?
