I think I chose my dress because of my size rather than because it was what I wanted. The corset gave me a waist and so I think my bridemaids said to go for it. I’ve since lost 25lbs and whilst it looks better, I don’t know if I would have naturally chosen it and don’t know whether to even consider looking for something else now – with 6 weeks to go! Anyone else in same boat? If only I’d lost the weight before I got engaged!!
Before weight loss and then at last fitting. I will wear a diamante belt for the reception if I stick with it!

^what she said!
Seriously, you look gorgeous in that dress! What are your hesitances about this dress and what did your dream dress look like?

You look lovely! The dress was a good choice for you, regardless – it is very flattering. The lines are really classy, especially in the second picture with the straps sitting flat, higher on your shoulders. The first one looks a tiny bit distorted just because the straps are pulled too wide.
What would you have done differently, dress-wise, if you could?

that looks amazing on you, emphasizes your great hourglass figure! definitely keep it 🙂

Thank you all. Okay, feeling better! I guess I just feel my choice was limited at the time of shopping and has left me feeling anxious!
@KCKnd2: We are having a destination wedding so I thought of something more floaty like this one but hey ho!

It’s beautiful and I think it’s perfect for a destination wedding! I don’t think it’s too different from the one you just posted. I say keep it!

The best part of losing weight is going shopping for all new clothes 😀
So it’s only natural that you’d want to buy new everything, wedding dress included!
TBH i think the dress you chose is a great pick for your body type, and I think it will end up more flattering than the one you just posted, as the fabric type in the stock photo is not always kind to most women. The slightly heavier fabric in the dress you bought has enough of its own “body” that it will give you nice, sleek lines and not cling in the wrong places (and we all have wrong places, and trust me, those flowy dresses love to accent those).

Dress is beautiful and is very flattering. I would save my money and keep the one you already have.

I too know the sting of picking a dress because of being curvy! But this dress is truly gorgeous on you! Don’t change it.

Thank you ALL! Feeling lots better and loving your pearls of wisdom about our battles with bulges!!
Congratulations to each of you and all the best!

Holy cow. It looked great before, but now it is STUNNING!

I chose my dress because my hips are huge and this hid my hips. I refused to even look at mermaid or straight dresses because of my hips- only A-line and ball gowns. I really really wish I could have worn a straighter dress, but sadly I can’t.
You look amazing in your dress. I think that is a great dress for a Destination Wedding. Congrats on the weight loss.
