    The Not-So-Elusive B(lah)CBG Applique Dress

Ms. Quiche ordered dress A and she didn’t like it. I like Dress B. It’s my first choice for my wedding but when I ordered it, its not available. I had to wait for like 3 months, so I ordered another dress from BCBG.

Dress A definitely has a more bridal feel to it and really, fabulous accessories are what it is all about!!

As someone who got "not a wedding dress" I want to tell you to NOT listen to anyone who says stuff like that. No one liked my short dress choice and everyone had no reservations about telling me so. In the end, it was what I wanted, and what I couldn’t stop thinking about. I went with the shorter dress that I loved and never looked back.

Dress A is BEAUTIFUL. I love it. PERFECT for a small garden ceremony. I honestly think, from what you’ve said here, you would regret not choosing that one. Not to mention, you could totally wear it again 🙂

I would get both so that you can try them on.  I was at the BCBG outlet this weekend and saw dress A.  I had seen the pictures online and really liked it but I didnt like it as much in person.  It was still very pretty but the flowers were a little smushed and just not how it looked in the pics.  Try to get both to make sure you like them in person.  (I like the long one BTW)

The link I posted above is Mrs. Quiche’s actual picture with Dress A. She ordered it and didn’t like it in person.

Yeah, you were lucky you found dress B in store. The store we went to even called other branches but to no avail.

I actually considered Dress A for civil ceremony or for rehearsal dinner.  I’ve seen it in person, and I have to say, it isn’t very "bridal" for the wedding ceremony.  It is a pretty dress, but I’d go with the long dress for the ceremony.

If you’re doubting and want to see it, I say just order it and return it.  Better to do that than always wondering "what if?".  BCBG store or the website does not allow returns if the item is on sale, but the items go on sale pretty quick after being released.  This particular dress is not yet on sale, but I’d say keep your eyes out for a few weeks and see if it goes on sale at Bloomingdale (they have it on their website), Nordstrom, or Macy’s.  If you buy them from one of the department stores, you can always return them for full refund AND/OR just bring it to the store if there’s one nearby.

I think they’re both great dresses, but I’m more drawn to Dress B.  If you liked both, you could always wear Dress A for a shower or your rehearsal dinner.

While Dress A is very cute, I have seen so many people buying it that I feel like it’s too popular and not unique enough that I personally wouldn’t buy it for that reason.  I am also partial to longer dresses,so I choose B!

I have to agree Dress is really cute but seems overdone. If you really like the short one, maybe you can wear it at a different wedding event? The rehearsal? Or even make that your get away dress?

I love Dress A but I think maybe not for a wedding, I agree with Miss Hot Sauce, that maybe you should get it for the rehearsal or as your getaway dress. I love Dress B as a wedding dress, very pretty and cute and more of a bridal feel!
