Getting married again[to the same man], in March 2014. We’re having a bigger ceremony to include our family and friends. Of course, I went against the rules and started looking at wedding dresses already. I feel like I fall in love with dresses too easily. I love wedding dress shopping, as I was practically been planning my wedding since I was a child. I keep finding dresses that I love, but for some reason I can’t help feeling that if I buy a dress, I’m going to find a different one that I like better.
Anyone else feel the same? Anyone have any opinions on how to get over my fear of commitment? LOL.

@megan.nair: Pick a dress. Buy It and STOP looking….yea this is coming from someone who has tried on over 30 dresses and still hasn’t found THE ONE! You are not alone, dress shopping is hard. It’s so easy to fall in love over a detail that one dress has that another one doesn’t, even if before you thought that no other dress could top it.
Have you at least narrowed it down to what shape you want i.e ballgown, trumpet, mermaid etc?..if so kudos to you because I haven’t even done that.

@MrsRedPumps: It’s extremely HARD for me to stop looking at wedding dresses. I am planning my best friend AND my sister’s weddings. So I’ll be looking at dresses for awhile.
I have narrowed it down to two very specific styles though. I love big poofy dresses, so ball gown all the way. But I LOVE LOVE ruffle dresses, like Allure’s 8862, at the same time I love dresses with pick-ups, like Maggie Sottero’s Kendra. There are sooooo many dresses that look like both of them though. I’m also really conscious of what my husband thinks of the dress. I’m worried about picking a dress that he’ll hate!
What kind of styles have you tried on? And have you gone shopping with people that give good opinions, that’s also a really big factor, I think.

Youre wedding is so far away that I fear if you’re having doubts now if you go and buy one with all the new gowns coming out by the time of your wedding you’ll be be in a bigger situation.
I have gone through 4 dresses. And the one I have in my closet I am still so unsure about. I hate dresses and dress shopping has been so horrible for me. I’m at the point where I’m just going to wear the one I have now and be happy to be marrying my best friend. No dress is going to make me any happier about that so I’m just not going to worry about it anymore.

@megan.nair: I am all over the place! I have tried on Mermaid, Trumpet and ballgown styles. I have only found 1 ballgown that I love but all the rest make me tired just putting them on so I don’t think I can last a whole day in one. Plus my FI’s only request is to get something that shows off my shape and hugs every curve.
I have mostly gone alone, I don’t “officially” go dress shopping with the entourage until next month so I am trying to do everyone a favor and see what styles look good on me so they are not forced to sit through a 3 hour appointment.
I think Allure is the only designer that I haven’t tried on, maybe the bridal shop will be seeing me again in the near future 🙂
