So when i was dress shopping, I tried on my dress and loved it. It’s Maggie Sotero Hunter. However, i took 25 names of maggie dresses that i wanted to try on at the salon and they only had 4..sooo now im wondering if I should have just waited and tried on other at a salon? I feel like my dress looks good on me – fits well, hugs curves – but that its plain. It doesn’t come in until January and I don’t want to worry about it anymore! What do you think, hive?
Does it look boring? Should I add a flower sash or something? some bling? There is sparkles on one side of the hip, so I’m not sure if adding a flower sash or a different type of sash would clash with it? Also, I love the way it hugs my body and I’m afraid a sash would break up the look?
One thing i originally liked about this dress was that it didn’t have a sweetheart neckline – I have a large chest and I hate when i see pictures of brides falling out of their dresses…However, do you think that i should have it altered for a small sweetheart neckline to add a little more to it or just leave it alone?
Sorry so long & picture is so big!
What are your honest thoughts? Thanks!

It looks gorgeous. Really, really gorgeous. You look gorgeous. Don’t look at any more dresses…you have a perfect one!
And while i generally perfer the sweetheart neckllines, i think this neckline looks really good on you.

I vote no changes! I think a belt would just break up all that great drop waist detail. I don’t think it is plain at all. The dress has great textures and it accentuates your body well. I like the neckline too, especially if you are afraid of spillage.

i always had the same issues with dresses and feeling they were too plain. i don’t think you need to change the neckline or add a sash. i dont think a sash would work with the ruching. but what i think you could do is order some matching crystals and have them added as a thin layer to the neckline. it would add some bling and match what you already have. but if you dont do that, i think its perfect the way it is!

I think you look so gorgeous in your dress! Don’t change a thing. Love the silhouette. And with the ruching and gathering at the side, I don’t think you need to add any accessories to the dress. It’s perfect as is 🙂

I would add really great accessories, like lsvogel said. They can be the pop to the outfit since your dress looks so gorgeous as is!

You look fabulous in that dress! I don’t think it needs anything more, but you can always experiment with a sash once your dress comes in.

I would leave it! It is BEAUTIFUL!
And this way you can really play up your accessories – a statement necklace with flowers maybe??? A big beautiful veil???

Get an awesome statement necklace, shoes or bracelets. I think that your dress looks made for you.

Absolutely gorgeous – your waist is tiny. I voted for a teeny sweetheart neckline; it doesn’t need to be too drastic so you’re falling out, but just a little dip. Even if you left it as is, it would be perfect.

it looks beautiful on you! i would definitely add a sash. when you go for a fitting, ask to try some on — try ones with flowers, with bling, with no flowers or bling — to get a feel for what you like (then you can look on etsy to find one much cheaper!). see what the seamstress thinks about the sweetheart and how you feel about the neckline when the dress is actually your size. i generally prefer sweetheart, but you can really pull off the straight neckline!
