- Wedding: October 2012
I’ve read so many horror stories about ladies trying to exchange or return their dress at David’s Bridal. I’m a bridesmaid for my sister-in-laws wedding. We ordered the dresses back in March, and the wedding is in September. Back in March the dress fit, but now I can’t even get the zipper to go all the way up. (I honestly haven’t tried to dress on since then)
I was mortified! My husband and mom were the only people that new. I was FREAKING OUT! I couldn’t tell my sister-in-law, because she has tons of other things to worry about right now.
So I called my nearest David’s Bridal (which isn’t even the one I got the dress from orginially). I explained to them the situation, and asked if there was anyway I could exchange the dress for a larger size.
They looked it up to see if the style and color was still in stock, and they told me to come right in! I came in today with my orginal dress (I couldn’t find my receipt). But they were able to find all the info in their computer system. I tried one some bigger dresses, and they’re ordering the replacement dress with no extra charge!
Everyone was SUPER nice. They seemed completely understanding. A manager had to do the exchange, which is understandable, but they didn’t give me any trouble at all! I’m so happy that they seemed so helpful and understanding. And they said I should be able to get the dress before the wedding in September! Thank the Gods!
Now I can relax knowing my dress will fit, and if I ever become a bridesmaid again, I will definitely order a larger size than what I tried on in the store!
