I think the first one just… goes straight down. I like the skirt trumpeting out on the second one.

I’m leaning more towards the first one again. UGH. Anyone else want to give me their two cents? I could use all the feedback I can get!

I’ll give you my honest reactions upon looking at the pictures:
Dress #1: Ooh, that’s pretty!!!!
Dress #2: Meh, it’s not as figure flattering and gives a slightly boxier look.
So in summary, I think the first dress is gorgeous and highlights your long, streamlined figure. The second dress doesn’t highlight your figure as much – you have a great figure but around the hips area on the second dress, it seems to widen that area and makes it not look as flattering. From the side it’s nice but not as much from the front. I don’t know, I just think the first dress has the complete WOW factor and the second dress is not doing it for me at all.

That depends. Like the other posters, I think you look great in both gowns, and I think both gowns are very beautiful. However, because these dresses are so different, ONE of these gowns is clearly more “you” than the other. You just need to take a step back and determine which one that is.
To help, here are a few questions.
1.) What was it that drew you to each of these dresses?
2.) Is one more of what you THOUGHT you would have always wanted but the other is something that you had not really ever considered but tried on and now love?
3.) Are you really looking for a more whimsical, princess, fairy-tale type wedding? If so, the first dress would be more you.
4.) Or, do you consider yourself to be more fashion-forward and contemporary? If so, the second dress is clearly the one.
5.) Finally, and this may be the most important question, which one of these dresses will — if you had to close the door on purchasing it by picking the other one — would haunt you, making you feel as if you should have purchased it instead. In other words, which one can’t you imagine NOT buying?

To give you, Brielle, and everyone else an idea of my wedding. My colors are grey, blush, and black. I’m going for a french vintage, shabby chic, with a twist of modern kind of look.
As for my style, it’s very eclectic. I love modern, I love vintage, I love hippy, I love elegant, I love shabby chic….kind of all rolled into one. I think that’s why it’s so hard for me to make a decision.
My wedding is going to be on the more formal side. My ceremony is outside at dusk, and my reception is in a banquet hall with lots of swag and pink uplighting.
I want something grand, but I also just lost about 40lbs and I want to show it off a little, but is the first dress showing it off too much?

I like the first one…it shows off YOU more. Your figure looks awesome in it. The second one…is more about the dress than it is about you. It sort of overpowers you, but it would probably be more memorable than thefirst one. Sort of depends what you are going for. I vote for #1.

I love the first one!! Gorgeous on you (plus I think it looks a bit more “timeless”). They both look amazing though…I can see why you’re torn!

You are going to see pictures of yourself in the first one at your wedding and say DANG I LOOKED GOOD. You definitely aren’t showing off too much, you just look great in it!
The second one is beautiful, but I think it would get lost more in photos (contrary to what you thought above!) …of course no one is going to be able to miss the bride in any photo and you can’t really go wrong!

Having read your most recent response, if you want to show off your weight loss (congrats on that by the way!), definitely go with the first one! It is not too revealing and looks absolutely fabulous on you. Also, I think it has more of a formal feel to it than the other one and has a bit of a whimsical feel to it, which sounds like it goes along with your personality.

Being truly unable to choose really means that, deep inside, there is something about each of them that you’re not happy with, and you really do not want to commit to either of them. And, that’s OK. You may just need to keep looking, perhaps at a different bridal salon.
And, congratulations on your weight loss! That is wonderful, and you do look amazing!!

Both are great but I say the first one. You look awesome in it and it shows off you..I feel that the second one would take some attention off of you and put it on the dress. You look awesome in both though so either one you pick you will not regret it!

LOVE that first one!!! it is so elegant and gorgeous… the second one adds bulk to your figure and the intensity of the flowers on the skirt make them get lost in themselves, if that makes sense? and then i’m left staring at the skirt and not at you! the first one is very bridal (i have NO idea where the lingerie thing came from?) and suits you to a tee! 🙂 love love love it! the poll is favoring to, too, now! yay! 🙂 keep us updated on which one you choose!

I love the first dress on you. It looks like it was made for you and if definitely has more of a WOW factor to me than the second dress, and it doesn’t look like lingerie! 🙂
