love the second one!!! so unique and flattering, you are right about that! I think it’s perfect for the kind of wedding you are having. So my vote is for number 2 but I can’t vote cuz my computer apparently doesn’t like to let me participate in polls :

Listen I’m also having an outdoor beach wedding and my dress is very intricate and poofy. While the Nadia is very figure flattering it’s on the boring side for me. Sorry but your beautiful and it’s your wedding so why not go all out.

The second is so unique and stunning on you. I think it is outdoors appropriate. Like you said “ I didn’t want to take this one off.” I think you know your answer 🙂

Good Luck with narrowing down or continuing your search!

@penguinbee:  The 1st dress is perfect for you and a Hawaii wedding! I do love the 2nd one but I think the 1st is much more flattering!

I voted for the first simply because I do not like the second. The back looks amazing, but it lost me with the front.

@penguinbee:  I prefer the first dress. I think it is very flattering and I love the neckline. I dont really love the draping on the second dress but that is just my own personal style. Go with what you love!

I prefer the Nadia – you look stunning in it, and its elegant in its simplicity. I love the flower belt with it, and with some bright flowers in your hair you’d be a vision. I don’t think the BHLDN dress is very flattering. You have a great figure, so I think if you do want a more intricate dress, you could easily find one that is as flattering as the Nadia.

I myself was torn between a more intricate dress and a simpler one. I loved both, and at first when I tried on the intricate one I loved it and leaned towards that one. But I took a few months then tried both on again. As I envisioned my wedding, and the type of bride I wanted to be, I realized I really preferred the simpler dress. You might decide you want an intricate one, but since you are considering going a different direction than you had imagined, I would ask yourself what type of bride you want to be, and what type of wedding you want to have, and if the dresses fit with that (it might be that both do.)

Also, clearly other bees think the BHLDN looks lovely on you, and I usually disagree with the majority of of bees in dress polls, so grain of salt.

@penguinbee:  I prefer the JCrew dress.  My Mother-In-Law wore a dress very similar to dress 2 (except it was navy) to my SILs wedding, and while it was beautiful in person, it did not photograph nicely IMO.

But go with the one YOU love!

@penguinbee:  I really really love the simplicity and elegance of the first one!!!

I tried on that second one too (actually bought it online) and I just didn’t love the front midsection part.  The draping made me look thicker than I am and just kinda weird.  No offense, but I think it does the same to you.

BUT, if I went to a wedding where the bride wore it, I’m sure I’d think she looked lovely.  If that’s what you love, go for it.  It’s definitely not too much for an outdoor wedding, and that’s coming from somebody who wanted a simple dress for an outdoor wedding.

I think the first one is absolutely gorgeous on you. It looks soo comfy – is it?

    @penguinbee:  I vote “Keep Looking”

Dress # 1, the Nadia, is pretty, but a bit boring. The flowered belt is nice, but it just doesn’t have enough pizzaz. However, the style and cut are very flattering on you and I love the split neckline.

Dress # 2, the Cypress, is stunning, but I feel like the gathering at your waist is not very flattering and the hour-glass layout of the fabric on the front seems a bit exaggerated. Also, while the beaded leaf pattern is very pretty, it looks like it would be better suited to a winter wonderland wedding rather than a outdoor wedding in Hawaii.

@lolot:  Yes, the draping on the front seems to add unnecessary bulk to the midsection. Cry

@penguinbee:  I think the Nadia is much more elegant and is absolutely perfect for a wedding on the beach beneath the palm trees! I’m so jealous you get to get married in Hawaii!

I love the first. It’s simple and looks beautiful on you. I also like that the neckline is a bit different.
