I’m having such a hard time deciding on a wedding dress, and would really love some thoughts from everyone out there!
Dress #1 is an all satin dress, with the perfect sweetheart neckline and low V in the back, and a beautiful flowing train. But I’m afraid I will sad about not having any lace. I woudl probably get a floor length veil with lace on it, but I would only have this for the ceremonly and maybe some of the pictures, so I’m not sure if it would satisfy my desire for a bit of lace or not. I have already experimented with adding a lace topper, but nothing works, and they actually seem to detract from the simple beauty of the dress.

Dress #2 is a similar cut, and also all satin, but it has some extra lace and beading. I am completely torn between satin and lace, so I feel like this gives me the best of both words. Howver, the fit is not as good as the others. I am very tall, so the bodice hits a little high, and it has more volume right below the waist, so it adds more bulk and the cut is not quite as flattering. However, I am in love with the detail on the dress. I also think this would still look beautiful in pictures that are waist-up becausse of the detail, whereas dress #1 would look more simple up close. This is the dress i continually find myself thinking about, but am concerned about the fit. The bodice feels like it has a little less structure and doesn’t fit my chest/ribcage as tightly. I don’t want to end up being that girl who is always pulling her wedding dress up b/c it doesn’t fit well.

Dress #3 is a lace Sottero and Midgley dress. I never felt like i HAD to have this much lace, but do like the idea of having at least some lace, and I think the train on this one is beautiful. But I honestly can’t decide if I would rather have satin or lace.
Here are some pictures:
(I would add some crinolin to poof out the skirt into more of a ballgown)
If I did decide to go for the lace, there is another laces dress by Mori Lee that is essentially the same design with lace around the bodice and the bottom of the skirt, but it costs about $600 less than the one pictured. It looks very similar, but the lace is not a pretty in my opinion, and the lace at the bottom is in more of a block all the way around the skirt, rather than how the one pictured kind of tapers out in pretty sections and looks more integrated with the entire dress. My gut is telling me that I love dress #2 the most, but I am concerned about the fit. All of the others are more flattering on my waist and make it look smaller than #2 does. I fell like Dress #1 suits both my style and my figure, but i am so obsessed with the detail on dress #2. I also think I like the more matte finish of dress #1- do you think #2 is too shiny?
Please let me know any thoughts you have!!
FYI, my wedding will be at a golf course in Washington state, so the ceremony will be outside and the reception will be inside. It is relatively formal, but not as much as a fancy ballroom or something like that. It is more of a pacific NW kind of formal, if that makes sense. There is a view of the mountains. Would dress #2 seem too formal in that setting?
Thank you in advance for you thoughts/advice!!
