I think the second looks better. However, I wouldn’t want to buy it because your Fiance isn’t a fan and it kind of lacks the ‘whimsical’ nature the 1st has. Have you tried looking at other stores??

I really think the 2nd one looks great on you.  Very classic.  Personally, something to me is off with the skirt of the 1st and I love textured bottoms.  However, if you dont feel like its special enough I agree with PP that maybe you should try another store.

I love the second one on you! Youcan do whimsical without the dress being ruffled and stuff ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the second one, it is so beautiful, and honestly if you want to change it a tad you could change the sash to match your colors, or even if you want the classic vintagey look you could wear a light pink cardigan over the dress in the evening. Im not sure it’s too “sleek” it is a very pretty dress that looks amazing on you.

That being said, you know in your heart how YOU feel and if you feel more beautiful in the other dress, nobody can tell you that you are wrong. ๐Ÿ™‚

Maybe you should add a poll so you can get a better idea of what people think. ๐Ÿ™‚

I dont think the first dress does you justice at all, somethign with a sleeker silhouette like the 2nd one would be perfect. if you want soemthign fun and whimsical how about getting a streamlined shape and then have a the vera wang horse hair sash tied into a big [vertical] bow in the back. below is a picture of the sash I am talking about and it can be tied into different types of bows

I too like the second dress better.  The first dress is pretty but your shape in that dress is so different than the second dress and it’s not because of the size differential.  If you look at the second dress, the sash accentuates your small waist and highlights your curves.  It looks stunning but I know what you mean, it is a bit plain for me too.  The first dress has ruffles that hit just under the hips and accentuates the widest part of your body so it is not as flattering even though it is a very pretty dress.  If you’re ok with that and you’ve got your heart set on the first dress then go for it.  It will look better in the right size and perhaps you can add a sparkly belt (I think a ribbon would be too much) to draw attention to your waist.

Or you could keep looking for a dress that combines the best parts of both dresses – the shape of dress #2 but the whimsy feel of dress #1.
