@mspartridge:  You probably don’t want to hear from me, but I ordered my dress in the beginning of December.  I received my confirmation that the order was received and had a ship date of 3/25.  I was assured that it would be here no later than mid April.  Well, I’m 10 days from my wedding and guess what…. NO DRESS yet!  I am FREAKING OUT!  I call the salon EVERY SINGLE DAY and they keep assuring me that it will be here and it will be perfect.  I was told today that it should arrive by Friday.  Well it BETTER!  They’re closed on Sunday & Monday and this thing needs to be ALTERED!  I think I’ve gone down a complete size from the stress alone and I’m having the top cut to a sweetheart….. so yeah…. it’s always risky – I’d just stay on it – check on it often – maybe call them in a few weeks and see if they can give you the status.

@mspartridge:  Well I figure, if I don’t get that phone call on Friday morning, I’ll call back, tell them that they need to refund me something and put me in one of their samples and alter it to fit me.  Luckily, I’m a sample size and well – I NEED A DRESS!  Sooo yeah…. I don’t know, it’s not like I can wait past Friday to do something.  I don’t think you need a back up, I’d just call to check on it a few times so they know you’re on top of things, so hopefully they’ll be on top of things!

@jangbeh24:  I went in last week (Thursday) to pick up my veil (for my hair trial) and the lady told me it had been shipped out.  Then yesterday when I talked to them, they said it should be here Friday (and reconfirmed that it had, in fact, shipped out already).  If I don’t get a phone call come Friday morning thaen I’ll have to go in and they’ll have to figure something out with a sample dress and have it altered immediately.  (and refund me).  Although I do feel like I’ve shaved 5 years off my life with all the stress this is causing me.      Sorry, didn’t mean to thread-jack.

Oh wow. Now this is freaking me out. I ordered mine and they told me it would be here in September. My wedding is at the end of October. I was thinking they just overshot the delivery date to give themselves some time and it would prob be here at like the end of July. Now I am not so sure 🙁 I am definitely going to need alterations done as I am down in weight. There better be time!!!!!

@franxious : I really hope it arrives sooner than they expect!!!

@OliveT:

OMG…i ordered mine in Jan, it was supposed to arrive in April but it arrived in Feb!!!! Actually, i am a little suspicious..i guess i did not look too well at my dress, busy to see the alterations but i have to check if indeed it’s the sample dress and not a new one!

Good luck, girls!

@Estrella_Luna:  Didn’t mean to freak anybody out – I am sure I am an isolated case….. A good friend of mine ordered her dress a year ago from the same place – same designer (shop owner), etc.  Her dress arrived before they told her it would….. all of our bridesmaid dresses arrived about a month sooner as well….. and honestly, I haven’t run into anybody else who has had to deal with what I’m dealing with right now – so I wouldn’t stress too much about it.  Just had to get my little vent out because it’s basically taken over my life stressing out about it.

I wouldn’t stress at this stage at all. It’s only the beginning of May and you still have two months to wait for your dress. If you feel really worried about it go back to the salon and have them write the estimated delivery date on the recepit for you. Also book your alterations in.

When the due date gets closer like two weeks before, call them to check on your dress.

Just remeber it’s the designer that sets the delivery date not the salon.

My dress was due to arrive at the end of March and it came a month early, just be patient and don’t stress.

@mspartridge:  Thanks!  I hope so too!!  The designer of my dress is actually the owner of the salon – they carry some of the usual designers – Pronovias, Maggie Sottero, etc., but they also have her private collection – mine was one of hers and that’s what pisses me off the most!  It’s VERY VERY VERY similar to the Maggie Sottero Phillipa dress, but with a sweetheart neckline.  At this point, I’ll take whatever I can get my hands on lol!

I’m also getting nervous for my Maggie Sottero to come in.  This thread made me call the bridal salon today.

I bought my dress Jan 28th, and they said the latest it would be here is the 2nd week of July.  I have two weeks for alterations, and the lady said thats fine…. but my wedding is Aug 4th.  If the dress is delayed, I’m F*cked.

The salon said it won’t be delayed and will be here on time… but seriously. Scared.
