i have my first dress appointment next weekend and I am trying to narrow down a few special designers while staying in a $2000 budget. As of right now, I love the mermaid look- I just hope it flatters my shape.
Any fabulous recommendations?

Well I can recommend a few I work at a boutique and our cut off point is $2500 in our store.
Mori Lee (minus her couture collection Angelina Faccenda)
San Patrick by Pronovias
White One by Pronovias
Wtoo by Watters
Essense of Australia
Casablanca Bridal (minus their couture collection)
Da Vinci Bridal
Blue by Enzoani
If you tell me what kind of mermaid you are looking for (lace, satin, ruffles, etc) I might be able to recommend a few specific ones. Hope this helps!

Amazing!! Thank you so much. I am not a fan of satin- indecisive on ruffles, I would need to try it on. I do like lace, and I am really into that nude lace look.
Thanks so much for your help!

I got my dress from Jasmine Bridal (not to be confused with the Jasmine Bridal shop that makes replicas).
But, there is a lot out there under $2K. I was aiming for around $1K, but would have gone over some had it been “the one”.
My dress was well under $1K and was a nice fit/flare.

Check out Maggie Sottero, I love all of her dresses, they are well made and affordable! I just bought my dress yesterday and it is a Maggie Sottero. I tried on about 7 of her dresses and there wasn’t one that I didn’t like, they were all great!
