I am sorry you are feeling this way 🙁

Do you have any pictures of yourself in it? Maybe you are being too critical of yourself?

@eholland: It’s probably because it’s not altered yet! It just needs to be tailored to hug you in all the right places.

@eholland: hey girl, i’m with you. we have the same dress, i remember! i’ve been hesitant about it since i ordered it, and finally tried it on this past weekend. it was okay, but i wasn’t like omg yes i made the right decision. i never had that feeling to begin with, but i was hoping i’d have it now. i didn’t. i definitely agree with the girls that say it’s going to be in the fitting. i hope you feel better about it!

@eholland: lol you’re so right. the waist is just weird. mine came in big too, they had to clip the back so i still don’t feel like i know what it really looks like. i actually think i might have them alter it down tigther through the hips to give it a better shape once my alterations start. also the girl at my salon mentioned maybe moving the boning up to create a better “waist”. i’m not tiny by any means, but i feel like it could show off my waist mroe than it is now. here’s a link to my pics so you can see mine…

It will be much better after it’s had some alterations!  Remember they are usually ordered large so that the largest measurement fits/can be adjusted.  I’m sure you’ll feel better about it once it’s had some stitches.

Good luck 🙂

Can you add some bling to the middle area?  I think it is very pretty- just needs some structure that will happen with alterations!!

I was worried when I tried my dress on when it arrived. Part of it was the dramatic store manager who couldn’t lace the corset properly and kept saying that the wrong size was ordered, we should have ordered a larger size dress even though I have lost 15 more pounds since I purchased the dress…on and on and on she spazzed. She had me so stressed out that I would have to order a larger modesty panel for weeks and that my alterations were going to bust the bank.

I went in for my first fitting last weekend. Surprise, surprise….the seamstress laced me up, no problem. She had me locked and loaded, no gapping in the corset whatsoever. And guess what, the cups of the dress are smidge big, but not a major alteration and the hem is the PERFECT length it doesn’t need to be hemmed.I cannot help but feel the manager was just looking for ways to get more money out of me.

So, sorry to hijack the thread with my tangent but what I was getting to is that alterations can make a big difference. I am sure once those get started you’re going to feel differently about your dress and you’re going to love the way you look in it!
