That venue sounds absolutely stunning! My first thoughts were for ivory and lace, fitted through perhaps to the hips or natural waist, then flowing out in a slight a-line (but not too poofy) maybe even with a different type of fabric for the skirt?

sounds like a beautiful place. I just googled country chic and came up with these…

I love the idea of a gauze peasant dress in this setting.  Maybe over super cute boots?

I don’t know your body type but I think lace dresses look great in these kinds of weddings. And blush/champagne color schemes. They’re trendy right now, but for a good reason!

@amohon99:  Wear a dress that makes you feel special. I don’t think the type of fabric or style will matter as long as you love the dress.:)

I was married outside in a grassy field on a farm and my dress was taffeta with some beading at the neckline and flowers at the hip. But other ladies who have been married at that same venue wore lace or tulle or satin, so really anything can work. 🙂

I have a firm belief that you should pick the dress you love, not the dress that “fits your reception”! I have a 53lb drop waist ballgown for my luncheon! Luckily, we decided to have a church ceremony… But I would have gone with my ballgown anyway!

@amohon99:  Do you mind if I ask where in kentucky you are having you wedding?  I live in Lexington and your venue sounds amazing!  We are still looking for our wedding site.
